Ethical and responsible applications of AI, ML, or any advanced technology are increasingly important because the stakes go up in our increasingly digital society. James Barrat famously stated that AI might be our final invention. It appears that there are frameworks that can prevent dystopian scenarios. Responsible AI should evolve on top of solid governance structure, operational safeguards, privacy, fairness, and accountability. The Blueprint for AI Bill of Rights published by the Office of Science and Technology Policy is an important step.
