Future History

I do not own many of Robert Heinlein's books yet. "The Past Through Tomorrow," published in 1967, is on my list of books to get. John W. Campbell was Heinlein's editor.  He coined the term "future history." The short stories are incredible reads written in a delightful linguistic convention. There are some prophetic elements in them. The absurdity of human behavior is probably the central theme, for which the sci-fi convention is merely a background. The book feels like it was written by a political science writer rather than a sci-fi giant.
