Reducing the Performance vs. Explainability Pay Off
This event will be a quick overview of today's AI's fundamental
problem, deep learning in particular.
Decision trees were always very appealing because they are
perfectly explainable, even though they can be outperformed in certain types of
modeling problems. We are facing a tremendous challenge with the "back box"
algorithms that perform very well. Over the hears the KBANN algorithms and
several others were an attempt to move in the right direction. Today, legal regulations
and liability issues created a new environment.
