Venture funding for AI

 Gamalon Labs is among the AI companies listed in this summary of venture capital funding. This is another startup company that focuses on conversational AI and natural language processing. Many AI technologies are hard. Conversational interfaces remain complex despite decades of research. One of the reasons is the interplay between structured knowledge needed at the back end and tremendously unstructured user input. In my project, user testing always revealed that conversational AI would be very intriguing to users. Many testers will try to break it or enlist a surprising answer. Extensive testing data sets containing user input is a must for a successful implementation.
