The Cathie Wood video on Casgains Academy channel reminds me quite a bit of the singularity discussions a few years back when Ray Kurzweil was publishing his books on the subject.
One of the fundamental problems with exponential growth in any area of computing is the energy cost and carbon footprints. Nearly vertical AI growth paired with power-hungry blockchain applications might not be sustainable when we take offline coal and nuclear-powered energy sources. The next GPT or GPU-driven edge AI will be as impressive as it will be power-hungry, thus making inevitable changes in technology growth rates.
