Artificial Intelligence Motifs

 The Thousand Brains Theory is a fantastic read and a name for a (new) theory of intelligence proposed by Jeff Hawkins and his team. Obviously, this is a valuable discussion for AI designers trying to go beyond current architectures and data science pipelines. One of the critical aspects of human cognition resides in the 150K cortical columns that are individual learning machines processing reference frame-based data structures. One of the key findings that are increasingly accepted in the research community is that intelligence cannot be programmed as a list of rules. I feel that much of this discussion is consistent with Marvin #Minsky and John #McCarthy's writings on #AI and #AGI.
