Robotics and Cobots
Cobots and cobotics are terminologies increasingly visible
in professional publications. Robotics-assisted packaging systems intended to
work with humans present inside the work envelope is a paradigm change. In most
cases, these systems fall under the umbrella of flexible automation, i.e., the
system can be quickly redeployed to other tasks. This is usually enabled by a rapid
development environment and an array of sensors attached to the system.
