This is one of my favorite novels by Jack McDevitt next to “Seeker” and “Polaris.” “The Long Sunset” discusses the destiny of our civilization. The author is trying to find out what we can do to make it worthy of remembering and valuable in the future centuries? Great technological inventions can be wasted, forgotten, outlawed or can be used for an enormous benefit.
