Singularity postponed?

Quantum computing appears to be just around the corner. The exponential growth curve representing Moor’s law will receive a substantial bump from qubits. On the other hand, the AI and the algorithmic side of computer science appear to be in an “Indian summer” if not another “winter” again. Perhaps we have missed the opportunity to innovate in the last decade by allowing corporations to buyback stocks rather than spending on innovations. I don’t think that singularity is postponed indefinitely. We just have to wait for another catalyst invention. Quantum AI algorithms would be my bet.
